On 19 March, a webinar titled “Principles and Functioning of Support Programs for Electric Heavy Transport” took place. The meeting was organized as part of efforts to build awareness among market stakeholders in the eHDV sector regarding available mechanisms supporting the electrification of heavy-duty fleets and the development of charging infrastructure.

On 19 March, a webinar titled “Principles and Functioning of Support Programs for Electric Heavy Transport” took place. The meeting was organized as part of efforts to build awareness among market stakeholders in the eHDV sector regarding available mechanisms supporting the electrification of heavy-duty fleets and the development of charging infrastructure.

The session focused on the principles of public support schemes dedicated to zero-emission heavy transport, with particular attention to funding opportunities for the purchase of electric trucks as well as the development of charging infrastructure. Participants gained an overview of the financial instruments available at the national level and their role in accelerating the transition toward zero-emission freight transport.

The discussion featured contributions from Piotr Stępiński (NFOŚiGW), Maciej Mazur – President of PSNM and President of AVERE Europe, Albert Kania – Director of F5A, and Piotr Ziółkowski – LIFeHDV Project Coordinator at PSNM. The speakers shared insights on the current policy framework, available support mechanisms, and the role of coordinated market actions in enabling the large-scale deployment of electric heavy-duty transport.
